The White Stripes themselves may now be defunct, but theres still some Stripes music left to be heard (and seen), starting with an album recording of their last complete live performance from back in July of 2007. Dubbed Live in Mississippi, the disc will be released in both CD and vinyl formats, and will include the duo performing several covers in addition to their own setlist. A live DVD of one of the bands year 2000 shows will also be released around the same time; titled Moorhead Lights All Fargo Night, this one showcases the Stripes performing at a small bar in Minnesota. Additional releases are expected

And a couple of bits of LCD Soundsystem-related news this week; first of all, their final concert (at Madison Square Garden in NYC last April) is set for release as a DVD, which frontman James Murphy says will be properly edited and much nicer than the live stream that went out from the original show. In addition, a still-busy Murphy himself has been tapped for a high-profile DJ set at the upcoming Sonar Music Festival (June 16-18 in Barcelona, Spain), and will DJ again at Sonar Galicia that same weekend
