Region Watch Michelle Moore Throughout the country, June is known as Pride Month, when many gay, lesbian, bi-sexual and transgender (GLBT) people gather to celebrate pride in their communities. In Traverse City this tradition has been thriving for the past seven years at the Northern Michigan Pride Festival (NM Pride), occurring this year on Saturday, June 19. For the fifth year in a row, the gathering will be held at the Grand Traverse Commons in front of Building 50 on the old State Hospital grounds.
