Join us for an early look at the proposed addition to the Brown Bridge Quiet Area. Participants will learn about the natural features of the property, including a variety of habitat types from wet meadow to rich conifer swamp, that make a great home for several rare species. Conservancy staff will explain the land protection process for safeguarding this 528-acre addition that encompasses almost the entirety of 43-acre Spring Lake & will protect water quality in the Boardman River watershed. This is a moderately strenuous hike on uneven terrain. Come prepared with sturdy hiking shoes, water, insect/tick repellant, & a snack. Parking is along the shoulder of Hobbs Highway, approximately 1817 S. Hobbs Highway, roughly 2 miles from S. Garfield Road. Register.
