Honoring Fallen Veterans with Blown Glass
Monday, May 25
11AM
Memorial Park, East Jordan
Other
Jordan Valley Glassworks Co-Owners Jay Bavers & Glenna Haney annually handcraft around about 170 blown glass collectibles engraved with the names of soldiers who were killed in action while protecting our freedom. The floats are then released into the water at various locations over the weekend for people to find. Locations include The Jordan River & Lake Charlevoix. A ceremonial public release will be held today as part of Memorial Day services at Memorial Park in East Jordan immediately following the parade. About a dozen of these floats will be released, but you should plan to arrive by 11am.
