Are You Ready To Vote?

Tuesday, Aug. 4, is the Michigan primary election. For those who have requested them, absentee ballots have already been sent out and can be returned to your clerk’s office, your polling place drop box, or to your precinct’s early voting site. (It is recommended to hand-deliver your ballot within two weeks of election day.) You can track the status of your ballot at mvic.sos.state.mi.us/Voter/Index. For those who are voting in person, early voting is underway through Aug. 2. If you are voting in person on Election Day, the polls will be open from 7am to 8pm. Beyond the statewide primaries for governor, U.S. and state senators, and U.S. and state representatives, you can see what’s on your ballot at mvic.sos.state.mi.us/PublicBallot/Index. If you still need to register to vote, you can do so (in person only) now through Aug. 4. See all the details for the primary at michigan.gov/sos/elections/voting.
