Fall Festival in Elk Rapids

Just a few days after the autumnal equinox—Sept. 22, for those who observe—Elk Rapids will host its Fall Festival downtown on River Street on Saturday, Sept. 26, from 11am-3pm. The free, family-friendly celebration includes a slate of early fall treats, from fresh cider to caramel apples to cinnamon-coated donuts. There will also be live music, booths from local vendors, and line dancing Sandy and the Bandits. For a Halloween-inspired twist, you can join a tour of historic Maple Grove Cemetery (offered 11am to 2pm), or drive a little ways south to the Music House Museum at 7377 US-31 in Williamsburg for their Spooky Silent Shorts (performances at 11am and 1pm). Get all the details on the festival—and see more events happening throughout the Elk Rapids area—at elkrapidschamber.org.
