Halloween Begins on Silver Lake

If the decorations around town haven’t been a sign, then consider this your official notice: spooky season is here! Holiday RV Park Campground on Silver Lake in Traverse City is getting in on the fun with their first Halloween Weekend. Friday, Sept. 25, head to the pavilion at 7pm for a night of scary campfire stories (and s’mores, of course). There will also be hay rides offered throughout the evening. Saturday, guests of all scare-levels can get in on the action with pumpkin carving, Halloween arts and crafts, a face painting station, an on-site food truck, and a costume contest! The day concludes with a stroll along the terrifying Scare Trail after dark, or the milder Boo Walk boardwalk. If you can’t make it this weekend, save the date for Oct. 2-4 when the thrills repeat.
