Buchan’s Blueberry Ice Cream

Tastemaker

There’s no shortage of ice cream options in northern Michigan, especially in the summer. But Buchan's Blueberry Hill has a secret weapon: growing its own ingredients. The fifth-generation farm on Traverse City’s Old Mission Peninsula handcrafts its ice cream in small batches using certified non-GMO milk from Michigan cattle—and fruit grown on its own farm. While options range from Lavender to Old Mission Apple Pie to Lighthouse Cherry, our personal favorite is Blueberry Hill, a delicious blueberry flavored ice cream with pops of fresh whole Buchan's blueberries. Enjoy it on the farm at 1472 Nelson Road—and pick some blueberries to take home while you’re at it—or grab a cone at Buchan’s West Bay at 13000 S. West Bay Shore Dr. buchansblueberryhill.com
