Following their recent smash Lollapalooza appearance, The Killers have announced yet another round of tour dates in continued promotion of their current album, Day and Age. The band will trek to Washington DC to begin the new schedule, and will stay on the road through the end of September, with stops including a few legendary ones (Red Rocks Amphitheater in Colorado, the Hollywood Bowl, and NYs Jones Beach Theater), as well as cities from Toronto (9/6) to San Diego (9/18), from their hometown of Las Vegas (9/19) to Portland, Oregon (9/24). The Killers music video for their track A Dusted Fairytale is also available now on iTunes, as is the album itself...
Oasis own label, Big Brother Records, is set to drop special editions of all seven of Oasis studio albums on vinyl records, from their debut set, Definitely Maybe, to their current album Dig Out Your Soul - their 1998 B-sides collection, The Masterplan, will get a reissue as well, and all of the vinyl editions will get new sleeve liner notes as written by NME Reviews Editor Hamish MacBain. A new 16-track live recording of Tim Buckley is set to drop next week; called Tim Buckley - Live at the Folklore Center NYC - March 6, 1967, the album will include six Buckley songs that have never been released on any of his studio or live albums, including Just Please Leave Me, Country Boy, and I Cant Leave You Loving Me. The album will be the earliest live recording of the singer-songwriter that has been released yet; the Folklore Center was known as a venue for emerging folk singers. The album will also include a previously unpublished interview with Buckley by the owner of the Folklore Center that took place over March 17 and 18th, also in 1967. The CD will hit stores on August 25...
Police drummer Stewart Copeland has been working on a project thats a far cry from his work with Sting; unless you count the sting of a real eagles claws. Ben Hur Live is the project hes just completed composing the soundtrack for - a touring production thatll include 400 actors and over 100 animals in its ranks. Being described as the worlds biggest arena production, Ben Hur Live will debut at Londons O2 Arena in September before it begins its tour of Europe; the show, along with Copelands music, will include a chariot race, several ancient languages including Latin and Aramaic, a sea battle with daring stunts, and lots more...

Art Bruts Eddie Argos and bandmates got treated to an extensive tour of the NYC DC Comics offices recently, as a result of writing the song DC Comics and Chocolate Milkshake, which is included on their latest album. Argos wrote a column for undertheradarmag, and the magazine chronicled the tour in a cool photo diary thats viewable at www.undertheradarmag.com/news/art_brut_at_dc_comics/; Argos says that hes been a DC comics fan since he was given a pile of Batman comics as a kid, and he soon became a fan of other DC characters as well...
