Julie White Pierce, gallery & program director at Oliver Art Center, will discuss an approach to art appreciation she calls the Art of Looking. Topics will include how to define the word art, how to discern whether a work was good or bad (or if that is even truly possible), & whether or not in order to designate something as fine art, a work has to have qualifiers such as beauty, skill, meaning, & more.
