Backyard Blues, Brews & BBQ
Aug. 1, 2026
The folks behind the year-round Lively Neighborfood Farm Market in Leelanau County are putting on a fabulous show Aug. 7 and 8 on the property, dubbed “Lively Acres.” The first annual Backyard Blues, Brews & BBQ will feature (in order of the title) Detroit-based and nationally acclaimed Thornetta Davis—along with other Michigan blues talent; BBQ pork and beef from local farmers Recker Swine Farm and Noonan and Sons, respectively; and brews from Stormcloud Brewing of Frankfort. There will be plenty of other food, including gluten-free and vegetarian fare, plus wines from Mawby and Big Little Wines. Lively Acres even has campsites available for blues fans! And don’t miss the opening event on Friday night, a campfire gathering with Sugar Mae Owens, publisher of Big City Rhythm & Blues Magazine. Get all the details and tickets at livelyacres.com/events/backyard-blues-brews-bbq.
