Cask, Flask, and Fork

Jan. 6, 2024

The Frostbite Trail is back for 2024! No, that’s not just what we’re calling a walk in the woods without proper boots—the Frostbite Trail is a winter tasting and food experience hosted by 12 businesses in Antrim and Charlevoix counties. There are four Saturday dates scheduled for 2024: Jan. 13, Feb. 10, March 23, and April 20. Visit between 12pm and 6pm to sample a small bite food tasting with a pour of wine, beer, or cider. (Cost is $12 per person at each stop.) This weekend’s theme is “handhelds,” with menus available on the participating location’s websites: Townline Ciderworks, BOS Wine, Short’s Pull Barn, WaterFire Vineyards, Torch Lake Cellars, Cellar 1914/Shooks Farms, Bier’s Inwood Brewery, Folklor Wine and Cider, Lost Cellars, BluDot Farm and Vineyard, Spare Key Winery, and Ethanology Distilling.

*Correction: An earlier version of this story had the first date listed as Jan. 14, 2024, but the correct date is Jan. 13, 2024. And bonus: Ethanology Distillation has joined the list of participating businesses, making this an even dozen amazing spots to visit!
