Fourth of July Fireworks Up North

June 27, 2026

With Fourth of July just around the corner, folks will be flocking to shows across northern Michigan. True pyrotechnic fanatics will want to hunker down in Mackinaw City, where you can expect weekly Saturday night fireworks in addition to the Fourth of July celebration. Earlier in the week, catch the Leland Independence Day fireworks at Hancock Field and Shanty Creek’s America 250 fireworks display, both on July 3. For festival double headers, the National Cherry Festival will have a show from the Traverse City Boom Boom Club on July 4, followed by a festival finale on July 11, while the Manistee Forest Festival will have fireworks July 3 and 4 . On July 4 itself, you can find shows in almost every town: Cadillac (part of the Cadillac Freedom Festival), Petoskey, Harbor Springs, Boyne City, Gaylord, Beulah, and many more.
