Seeing Charlevoix in a New Light
Nov. 4, 2023
Visit Charlevoix, The Charlevoix County Community Foundation, Pure Michigan, and AbleVu have teamed up to make Charlevoix and AbleVu Accessible City. What does that mean? AbleVu is a “location-based platform that makes finding businesses and public venues more accessible for people of all abilities easier,” per their website. In the partnership with Charlevoix, this means that 15 locations fully equipped with accessibility features—five lodging properties, five restaurants, and five city attractions—have also added virtual walk-through tours so folks can see the spaces and environments before they visit. To experience the AbleVu tours, head to michigan.org/accessibility/virtual-tours and select locations like Castle Farms, Bridge Street Taproom, or the Weathervane Inn. Get more information about the program at visitcharlevoix.com and find other accessible cities in the state at ablevu.com/accessible-cities.
