Umbo Is Coming...to The Little Fleet

Dec. 20, 2025

Winter isn’t just coming—it’s already here. But if you want a break from the December blues, head to The Little Fleet for a two-night pop-up on Dec. 29 and 30, where Umbo will be slinging dishes from 5-9pm. Umbo is the latest brainchild of foodies Cameron Rolka and Sarah Welch, best known for Detroit restaurants Marrow and Mink. Scheduled for a 2026 opening, Umbo will be an oyster bar in downtown Traverse City. While the menu for the kitchen takeover at Little Fleet was still under wraps by press time, the even details promise “bold, unexpected pairings. Fermentation-forward flavors. Locally sourced ingredients twisted into something transcendent.” Go check it out at 448 E Front St in Traverse City, or learn more at thelittlefleet.com/events, where you can also check out other pop-ups and the iconic Soup and Bread nights.
