U2 To Perform in East Lansing and Chicago
U2’s 360 World Tour is returning to North America this June, and the band has selected a plethora of opening acts to support their many shows. Lenny Kravitz will be first up, supporting 360 concerts in Salt Lake City (6/3), Denver (6/12), and Anaheim, California (6/6); The Fray will take on shows in Seattle (6/20), Edmonton (6/23), and Oakland, California (6/16); and Interpol will open the evenings in Toronto (7/3), Chicago (7/6), Miami (7/9), Philly (7/12), Minneapolis (6/27), and East Lansing, Michigan (6/30.) U2 will head back over to Europe in August, where they’ll play additional dates in Germany, Finland, Greece, Turkey, Italy, and Spain, among other destinations...
The rustic-sounding (but actually quite hipster) inaugural Truck America Festival has been scheduled for April 30 to May 2 at the Full Moon Resort in Big Indian, New York; the fest, which is the American sister event to Oxfordshire, UK’s Truck Festival, has already snagged White Rabbits, Mercury Rev, Neil Halstead, Hopewell, and The Joy Formidable for its show lineup...
Bombay Bicycle Club, whose latest album is 2009’s I Had the Blues But I Shook Them Loose, are currently whipping together a quick acoustic album that they plan to offer up in May or June of this year. Guitarist Jamie MacColl says that the band are simultaneously working on their next full-length proper/regular studio album, too, for which they’re still seeking a producer...
And former Morcheeba vocalist Skye - aka Shirley Klarise Yonavive Edwards - is set to rejoin the band she helped make famous. She just performed with them for the first time since 2003 at Switzerland’s Caprices Festival last week, and is also working again with the band in the studio on a new Morcheeba album. The album, which is currently untitled, is due for release this summer...

Broken Social Scene are offering up a free MP3 from their fourth studio album - namely, the over-six-minute-long “World Sick” track, which you can download at www.brokensocialscene.ca. The band’s album, tentatively titled Forgiveness Rock Record, is due in-stores on May 4...
