Christopher Cross Sails On

It was his triple Grammy Award-winning 1979 soft-rock song, "Sailing," that put him on the map – and in untold grocery stores, elevators, and doctors’ offices. Now singer/songwriter Christopher Cross is back, promoting a new live two-CD album, "A Night in Paris."

In the 80s, Cross had eight songs on the Billboard Top 40 charts. Singles like "Ride Like the Wind" and "Arthur’s Theme (Best That You Can Do)" won him five Grammys and an Academy Award. While that might be enough to make a man rest on his laurels, Cross, now in his early 60s, kept making albums every few years, and he continues to perform about 100 live shows each year.
