Four Frightful Halloween Events

Oct. 17, 2026

Ghosts and ghouls are starting to emerge, and we have four fab ways to celebrate this week. Friday, Oct. 23, head to Seven Hills on Old Mission Peninsula from 6-10pm for a costume party complete with live music, spooky cocktails, and fall activities for the younger set. Saturday, Oct. 24, at 6pm, attend a murder-mystery-meets-theater mash-up at The Bay Community Theatre for an interactive “Midnight at the Masquerade” performance by Grand Rapids-based Murder Mystery Co. (tickets are $30 in advance, $35 at the door). For a truly scary film, visit the Great Lakes Center of the Arts on Sunday, Oct. 25, at 7pm for A Tale of Two Sisters, a psychological horror film inspired by a Korean folktale (tickets pay what you can). And for something a little cozier, on Oct. 26, take part in a full moon hike at Headlands International Dark Sky Park at 8pm.
