Grass River Natural Area's FenFest

By Jamie Kauffold | May 30, 2026

Let’s show some appreciation for the wetlands of northern Michigan at Grass River Natural Area’s FenFest, June 4-7 in Bellaire. Learn to identify sedges, kayak along Grass River, go for a bird or wild orchid walk, stop by the Native Plant Sale, and much more! Free events include a family playgroup, backyard restoration info with CAKE-CISMA, and an old-growth forest walk. To see the full calendar and register, head to grassriver.org, and click Classes and Programs.
