Apres Ski Party with Short's at Shanty
By Jamie Kauffold | Jan. 29, 2022

Northern Michigan’s longest-running point-to-point Nordic ski race, the White Pine Stampede is held on Saturday, Feb. 5. Established in 1977, this race features 50K, 20K, and 10K distances for both freestyle and classic skiers. Skiers start from Mancelona High School — the 30K at 10am, 20K at 10:30am, and 10K at 11:30am — and all races end at Shanty Creek Resort in Bellaire with a Short’s Cool Down Party at 1pm at the Lakeview Hotel's Grand Ballroom. Register at whitepinestampede.org/index.php/register. A portion of the proceeds benefits the Children’s Hospital of Michigan Foundation and the Jack McKaig Social Justice Scholarship.
