How does a memory change when we revisit it? This is the question that Echoes, the newest exhibit at Crooked Tree Arts Center (CTAC) in Petoskey, asks. Twenty-nine artists tackled the question across an array of mediums to explore how places, environments, and landscapes linger in our thoughts. “Echoes brings together artists who are exploring that space between the place, person, or event itself and the memory of it,” Jennifer Cantley, visual arts director at CTAC, said in a press release. “This creates a particularly personal and engaging exhibition, giving visitors an opportunity to slow down, look closely, and reflect on the memories that have stayed with them over time.” The exhibit will be on view Sept. 18 through Oct. 31 in the Gilbert Gallery.
