With fall in the air, we’re craving orchard fruit—and the folks at Dexter Hotel’s Noble Lounge & Bar in Elk Rapids have the answer in their Hungry for Apples cocktail. An autumnal take on the French 75, this pomme-y pour layers the baked-fruit backbone of Chicken Cock Old Glory, the rye whiskey blended with Laird’s apple brandy, with house cinnamon syrup (notes of clove, allspice, and nutmeg) and clarified citric Honeycrisp apple juice. Finished with Bos Wine’s 2025 Spitzenburg Cider and an aromatic cascade of torched cinnamon, this seasonal sip is bright and crisp with a warmly-spiced palette and effervescent pop—just like sinking your teeth into a freshly-picked apple.
