Bottoms Up
By Anna Faller | Feb. 3, 2024
What's better than a piping hot cup of cocoa on a chilly day? How about one with a boozy kick? Enter: Northern Latitudes Distillery’s Hot Chocolate Covered Cherry cocktail ($10). Inspired by everyone’s favorite snow day treat, this just-released recipe combines NLD’s signature Mackinac Island Fudge Chocolate Liqueur (ingredients: vodka, organic cocoa, whole milk, and Michigan sugar-beet sugar) with house-macerated Cherry Bounce and a splash of Bada Bing Cherry juice. Finished off with hot chocolate, whipped cream, and topped with a juicy Bing cherry, this indulgent sip is even better than you remember! Grab yourself a toasty mug at Northern Latitudes Distillery in Lake Leelanau (112 East Philip St., M-204). Check them out online at northernlatitudesdistillery.com, and stay tuned for a brand-new tasting room facility coming later this year!
