Art, Midsummer Fun, and Books
July 11, 2026
It’s a fabulous weekend for arts and culture in the Petoskey area. Saturday, July 18, don’t miss Petoskey’s 40th annual Art in the Park, with 120 booths in Pennsylvania Park featuring work in all mediums. Learn more at petoskeychamber.com/art-in-the-park. July 19, head to Cross Village for a Midsummer’s Daydream from 2-4pm with Good Hart Artist Residency. The event promises an afternoon of poetry, music, and art on the Hindle-Ross Trail, where attendees will find artists and musicians scattered along the enchanting 2-mile pathway. The event is free but parking is limited, so registration is required at goodhartartistresidency.org/events. Last but not least, catch New York Times bestselling author Paula McLain at Great Lakes Center for the Arts on July 19 at 4pm for a conversation about her new book, Skylark, with McLean & Eakin Booksellers owner Jessilynn Norcross. Tickets ($20) at greatlakescfa.org/events.
