If you’ve been collecting too much earwax on your iPod headphones, consider sticking it in the new SoundDock from Bose. The SoundDock has a docking cradle that recharges your iPod while it’s playing. But why should you shell out $299 plus tax when you can purchase a transmitter for $39 to plug into your own home stereo or car? Good question. Perhaps it’s because you’re a hopeless audiophile who’s bought into the near-mystical belief in the ability of Bose to cram a whole lot of sound into a tiny cabinet.
