Dec. 20: At 8 p.m., celebrate the Winter Solstice with folk musicians Seth Bernard and Daisy May at the Crooked Tree Arts Center. The pair is well-known for their soulful tunes and heart-felt lyrics. Info: blissfest.org or call 231.348.7047.
Jan. 10: The Wild Turkeys will perform at Crooked Tree Arts Center at 8 p.m. A northern Ontario-based band with a youthful and vibrant approach to old time country music with guitars, mandolin, percussion, bass and harmonica. Info: blissfest.org or call 231.348.7047.
Jan. 17: The Great Lakes Chamber Orchestra will perform New Freedoms with James White & Yi-An Pan at First Presbyterian Church in Harbor Springs at 7:30 p.m. The orchestra has 32 members from across Northern Michigan. Info: glcorchestra.org or call 231.487.0010.

Feb. 14: Traditional roots group Steppin In It will perform at the Crooked Tree Arts Center with Rachel Davis at 8 p.m. This Blissfest event features a mix of jazz, blues and swing to celebrate Valentines Day. Info: blissfest.org or call 231.348.7047.
Feb. 15: The Bijou Orchestra Ensemble will be performing a concert titled Paris After Dark at the Crooked Tree Arts Center at 7 p.m. The Bay City-based ensemble is best known for its 19th and 20th century European and American dance concert music. Info: crookedtree.org or call 231.347.4337.
March 20: The Irish acoustic band Lunasa will perform at the Harbor Springs Performing Arts Center. The quintet has topped Irelands folk music charts for the past 10 years. Info: blissfest.org or call 231.348.7047.
Dance:
Jan. 12: The Russian National Ballet Theatre will perform Sleeping Beauty at the Harbor Springs Performing Arts Center at 7 p.m. Tickets are $20 for members, $25 for non-members and $5 for students. Info: crookedtree.org or call 231.347.4337.
Events:
Thursdays, Jan. 15, Feb. 12, March 12: The Swirl at Crooked Tree Arts Center brings together art, fine wines from Esperance of Charlevoix and socializing with community members. Each month will focus on a different theme, from the Flavors of Portugal in January to French Wine for Lovers in February and Old World/New World Wines in March. Coupled with creative hors doeuvres, attendees are encouraged to wander through the galleries, enjoy music or check out live art demonstrations. Wine begins at 6 p.m. and food begins at 6:30 p.m. Cost is $10 in advance or $12.50 the day of Swirl. Info: crookedtree.org or call 231.347.4337.

Jan. 10-April 4: High Art/Low Fire will be featured in the Edith Gilbert Gallery at Crooked Tree Arts Center. The exhibit features a colorful cacophony of cone six ceramics by Sue Bolt, Russ Bolt, Jerry Berta, Madeline Karczmarczyk, Pat Custer Denison and Chip Denison. Jan. 16-17: The Bay Harbor Ice and Spice Festival, focusing on turning ice into art, will feature ice carving exhibitions starting at 10 a.m. both days. Sculptures will be on display all day in the Village at Bay Harbor. Info: bayharbor.com/icefestival or call 231.439.2000.

Theatre:
Jan. 29-Feb. 1 and Friday, Feb. 6-8:The Little Traverse Civic Theater will present The Phantom Tollbooth directed by Sabra Hayden. The play, performed by children, tells the story of Milo who ventures into a phantom tollbooth and has an adventure of epic proportions. Info: ltct.org or call 231.348.1850.
March 5-8 and March 12-15: The Little Traverse Civic Theatre will present The Complete Works of William Shakespeare (Abridged) directed by Mandy Robinson. A parody of all of Shakespeares plays in two acts, beginning with Romeo and Juliet and ending with Hamlet. Info: ltct.org or call 231.348.1850.
