Cheers To Sugar Loaf!

July 25, 2026

When the Leelanau Conservancy officially brought the former Sugar Loaf property into their portfolio this past March, there was a lot to celebrate for locals who love the former ski spot. Now, we’re raising a glass once again to a new partnership between the conservancy and French Valley Vineyards, the latter of which has released two special wines—aptly named Sugar Loaf Red and Sugar Loaf White—to help support the iconic Leelanau County landmark. Per French Valley, “a portion from every bottle sold will be donated to the Leelanau Conservancy’s Sugar Loaf fund,” with money to go toward “trail maintenance, habitat restoration, and long-term stewardship.” Find a bottle at the tasting room at 1338 N Pebble Beach Dr. in Suttons Bay. And learn more about the future of the Sugar Loaf property (which is not yet open to the public) at leelanauconservancy.org/sugarloaf.
