Two Fairs, Just Eight Miles Apart

Aug. 8, 2026

Do you like cattle or crafts? Antique tractors or local art? Monster trucks or made-in-Michigan treats? For one set of answers, you’ll want to head to the Otsego County Fair, held Aug. 10-15 at 275 Fairview Rd. with a slate of events that run the gamut from a country music concert to a rodeo to a bump and run car show. Check out the full lineup at otsegocountyfair.com. Now, if your tastes tend toward the second set of answers, drive a few miles south to the Michaywé Arts & Crafts Fair on Friday and Saturday, Aug. 14 and 15, held in the Michaywé golf community. This is the fair’s 47th year, and they’re expecting to showcase “handmade crafts, distinctive indoor and outdoor décor, original artwork, creative natural products,” and plenty more across 100 artist booths. See all the vendor info and event details at michayweartfair.com.
