Mawby is known for its sparkling wines, but did you know they also have an aperitif on the menu? Introduced back in 2022, Domaine Leelanau Yarrow is the perfect beverage for when you’re not quite ready to let go of summer. Yarrow is bright and fruity—but not too sweet—and infused with lemon verbena, yarrow, and elderflower all grown here in northern Michigan. The base of the aperitif is made with Riesling grapes fortified with grape brandy, clocking in at 3 percent residual sugar and 19 percent alcohol. Make it a spritz with some sparkling water, or level up with a Mawby spritz: 3 parts sparkling line (Mawby recommends Blanc or Us), 2 parts Yarrow, splash over sparkling water, and serve over ice with a twist of lemon.
