Northern Natural’s Northern Star

Bottoms Up
Nov. 7, 2026

Kaleva’s Northern Natural Cider House & Winery works exclusively with USDA certified organic apples to make their staple slate of five award-winning ciders. This time of year, you can please cider fans and beer stalwarts alike with the Northern Star, which has twice won the gold medal at the World Cider Championships. The cider has broad appeal thanks to being fermented with an ale yeast, which gives it a hoppy, brew-friendly edge. On the apple palette, expect more baked apple flavor, with less tartness than other cider varieties. (If you prefer your cider with a dry wine influence instead, opt for the Traditional Apple.) Try a flight, a pint, or grab a few bottles for the table at 7220 Chief Rd. in Kaleva. And expect live music Fridays and Saturdays! northernnaturalwinery.com
