Palette Bistro’s Crab Cakes
Tastemaker
June 13, 2026
Petoskey’s Palette Bistro hadn’t planned on being closed for most of the winter, but a January deep freeze and a burst pipe forced them to close for several months of repairs. After a grand reopening in May, the restaurant is back at it, dishing out their summer menu for lunch and dinner (plus weekend brunch!) seven days a week. We stopped in for a bite on a sunny Sunday and instantly fell for the Crab Cakes, found on both the lunch and dinner menus. Packed with flaky white crab meat, this hearty small plate/appetizer is served over a honey-lemon arugula salad and gets bonus points for the delicious and creative harissa aioli sauce. Enjoy a meal—and some of the best views of Little Traverse Bay—at 321 Bay Street in Petoskey. palettebistropetoskey.com
