Raduno’s Brisket Sandwich

Traverse City’s Raduno is known for its carryout (though it does have charming indoor seating!), so it’s definitely a place you want to add into the rotation for summer on the go. The perfect picnic starts with one of their sandwiches, salads, or pastas and ends with a slice of chocolate torte with nut crust. For our latest visit, we opted for the Brisket Sandwich ($15), which is built on fresh, house-made bread, layered with perfectly smoked brisket, and melted together with gooey Fontina cheese. Add some sauteed spinach, roasted potatoes, and a balsamic aioli, and you have one great sandwich! While you’re there, shop the deli case, snag an extra cookie for later, or even purchase some of their from-scratch pasta to cook up at dinnertime. Find Raduno at 545 E. Eighth Street (note that hours are 11am-6pm). radunotc.com
